Tuesday, 19th Day of October, 2010

I did my monthly radio show on Korean Radio today.  .
I  talked about the study done in Korea with the 135 elders who are over 100 years YOUNG, and their common life style.
1.   Eating in small portions, Not eating at night after dinner
2.  Waking up everyday at same time (before 6am for most)
3.  Having possitive attitude (smiling at most of times)
4.  Moving their body at all times (Being active)

I hope this helps you today, and this week.  God bless you all.  Until next week!

Monday, 25th Day of October, 2010

We've had very nice weather for the last two days, but at morning and night, it's gotten really cold.  I recommend you to drink some warm tea.
How about some ginger tea?  Ginger helps with your indigestion, cold, and makes your hands and feet warm. Cut fresh ginger into thin slices, then put 10 slices into 10 glasses of boiling water and let it simmer for 20-30 minutes.  Drink a half of cup each day with a spoon of honey and lemon juice.
Try some Ginger Tea this fall and winter for better digestion, coughing and cold, and to keep your body warm.   Good health and God Bless!!!
Until next week!   Shalom!!!

Tuesday, 2nd Day of November, 2010

It's an Election Day.  I voted early last Tuesday. I hope whoever gets voted will do well.

Well, for your stress that you get these days, try some Ginseng Tea with Gan Cao(Licorice).  Ginseng not only helps with your energy, but helps your Heart function which in Asian Medicine, helps your emotions and mind(Heart-심- means your mind and spirit).  Ginseng also helps your immunity by helping your Lung function, which is the first organ that viruse and bacteria contacts with.

To your health and our government!!!

Saturday, 11th Day of December, 2010

It's raining today.  Winter rain.  It will turn into snow soon, and it's supposed to be freezing cold for next few days.  Drink plenty of warm fluid(cold water, even during summer, makes your body and your internal organs cold and tense), exercise, and eat on time and don't overeat.  Have a regular sleep schedule, and Stay Healthy this winter.

Chicago winter is here and will stay for next few month.  Try to enjoy the cold, when you can't avoid it by living in Florida or California.

Monday, the 28th Day of December, 2010

Only 3 days left for the year 2010.  I am sure, like myself, many had new year resolutions or plans in January of this year.  I go to church every year on the New Year's Eve, at 11:30pm.  And we always write down prayer lists for the New Year.  I think I achieved most on my list.   Of course, God did everything for me.  My family and I will be in church again for the New Year's Eve service.

Tip of the Week:  Try Dang-Gui(Angelica Root-당귀) to increase blood amount, to have  better circulation, and to regulate menstration for women.  Of couse, you can purchase any of herbs from our office.  We also have herbal tinctures, pills, or cooked herbal teas for may other conditions.

Happy 2011, the year of the Rabbit.

Wednesday, the 16th Day of March, 2011

It feels like spring today.  Well, not yet.  You never can tell when it's spring in Chicago, yet.
Spring is the allergy season.  You will need to boost your immunity to fight off the allergens.  The spring is the Liver Season, in Asian medicine.  So, you willl need to strenghthen the Liver function to increase you immunity.
Any Green  vegitables are good - green is the liver color, as well as the spring color -according the Five Element Theory in Asian Medicine.  So to strenghthen  and also to Cleanse the Liver,  Try making some  Veggie Juice.  Grind Spinach, Green Bell Pepper, Cabbages, Celeries, and Add Carrots, Bannanas, and Apples for Taste and Harmony.  It could be the Breakfast for those Rushing people.

Cheers for your Health!!!

Sunday, 24th Day of April, 2011

Today is Easter for Christians.  Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins, and was alive again on this day.  We are supposed to die, because of our sins, but the Christ died for us.  And the Rising Death symbolizes us to be born again as well. As my patients know, I am a Christian.  Even though my patients have different beliefs and different religion,  Remember I pray for all of my patients for their Physical and Spiritual Health. Happy Easter!!!
